I-70 and Wild Utah

Wild Utah is very very vast

I-70 rest area is located in this image. Can you see it?

Wild Utah is for all to enjoy

Wild Utah

Utah has thousands of miles of pristine backcountry trails which should be preserved for all time and future generations. The areas are so wild and so vast that only a few have actually hiked these areas and that was with support of motorized transport to trail heads hundreds of miles. To try to make Wild Utah a wilderness would be like turning the sea into a private lake. I'll bet that only a handfull of wilderness supporters have actually been to Wild Utah. The beauty of Wild Utah is a relative judgment call made by each of our inner experiences. Where one may say it's been totally scared from abuse by mans travels through it another may say it's totally awsome that anyone could actually travel through it. It's simply that wild and wonderful.

Welcome to Wild Utah

Welcome to Wild Utah

The wilderness debate is on and Wild Utah is the latest target for wilderness supporters to force upon all of us this very restrictive designation. It's time to know the facts and get the story right. Wild Utah is in fact wild but not untrammeled by mans presents. During the 40's and 50's hundreds of mines and thousands of miles of roads were in fact located in Wild Utah. Wilderness advocates would have you believe that only hikers have been able to transverse this wild and unforgiving terrain.
